    Hello Everyone!

I've purchased a laptop today off tigerdirect for some gaming since my PC that I have now is ancient and can only run WoW on low settings, it's awful I know. I wasn't looking to go all out, but I did spend about $600 with tax/shipping.

I don't know much when it comes to GPU and their models etc..so I've come here to ask for your expertise. I'm looking to run WoW, Diablo 3 and some other games off of Steam.

    Here's the rig.

    Acer Aspire AS7750G
    It has:
    - 17,3" - 44 cm HD+ LED (1600 x 900)
    - Intel Core i5 2450M (2,5 GHz, 3 MB L3)
    - 4 GB DDR3 1066 MHz (with empty slot)
    - 500 GB SATA 5400 rpm
    - AMD Radeon HD 7670 1 GB Dedicated
    - 6-cell Li-Ion, 49 W battery

Can someone tell me what to expect running Diablo 3, WoW and some of the newer games out?

Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Yea look ok...you should be able to play those games ..maybe Diablo 3 on Medium settings

Laptops have problems keeping cool so unless you pay really big bucks you will always have limits.

    Desktop is upgradable.

I plan on buying some type of cooling system for the laptop as well, just haven't looked into it much.

Low to medium settings are to be expected with those specs.

Use this website http://www.game-debate.com/ search for the game you want to run and scroll down. It will be written Cpu and Gfx. Choose your CPU and GFX and it will tell you on which settings you can play the game.
You can Run Diablo 3 on Medium to high settings.

I run a similar system (also a laptop), except I have an i7 and an Nvidia (low end) 1GB graphics card. It shouldn't matter because most games done use all the cores anyway.

I can run Diablo III on high on the native 1366x768 resolution. I can also run SWTOR on medium high with shadows off. I can run Guild Wars II beta on medium high as well. For some reason Tera runs like crap (but I can tweak the lighting to get it going), might be an Nvidia thing. I'm getting great FPS for all these games, anywhere from 40-70.

WOW is a very old game so don't worry about that, you can run it on anything.

I would think you will be fine for anything coming out this year. I intending on getting Skyrim at some point, when it's cheap, since I already got it for the 360.
