Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and it's just about a year old. I've noticed that lately it heats up around the mouse pad. I bought one of those trays you put under the laptop, that has fans in it, but it doesn't seem to do much good.
Can anyone suggest a solution to this please?
Thanks

Have you cleaned it ie taken a can of air and blow through the vents?

Cleaning is always a good thing to do with any computer, especially laptops. But "HOT" is a relative term. I suggest you download, install and run a free utility called PC Wizard which will tell just how hot it is. Attached is a screen shot of the temps on my Inspiron 1501 laptop.
