    (Sorry, if i will make mistakes. I 'm still learning English)

    I have a very old laptop, i dont used it in the last 3 years. Yesterday i wanted to use it, i reinstalled the Windows. When it finished, i wanted to install the GPU driver. But for my suprise, the gpu is not detected. I can't install the driver if it cant find the gpu. I tried to reinstall the Windows, it didn't help. What can i do to repair it ?

    My laptop specifications :
    -CPU : Mobile AMD Sempron 3200+ (1.6Ghz, 512KB L2 cache)
    -GPU : ATI Radeon Xpress 1100
    -RAM : 2,5Gb DDR2
    -OS : Windows Xp

    What's the brand name and model name and complete model number of that laptop?

    When you reinstalled Windows XP, did it include Service Pack 3(SP3)?

    You need to install in the following order;
    1 Install the operating system
    2 Update to the latest service pack. Not necessary IF your install disk has sp3 already
    3 Install chipset/motherboard driver
    4 Install sound, nic drivers as necessary
    5 Install video driver
    6 Do windows update and install all critical updates. Repeat until there are no more updates to do

    Failure to install in the above order often results in drivers not installing OR not configuring themselves correctly.
