laptop keyboard

    packard bell easynote r5 ; windows xp

    the keyboard is frozen. if i press a key then mouse freezes too. tried restarting and system restore.

    no working keys therefore cannot enter bios

    problem occured after installing apache. now uninstalled but still a problem

    could you get your hands on a USB keyboard, that may allow you to enter the bios. the mouse still works if you dont press buttons though.

    the fact that you cant use the keyboard during start up to enter bios tells me that hte keyboard has gone south for the eternity. Drivers do not load until windows starts loading. Now it could be a case of just a good cleaning of the keyboard. But in this case it mean removal of the keyboard from the laptop.
