Laptop lcd compatability?

Just made crap of the 15" lcd screen in my HP Pavilion ze4500! Anyone able to advise on what model screen to look for? (the most compatabile)

You will need to get one designed for that model of HP.

What do you mean "made crap of" LCD screen? Did you destroy it?

nearly put my shoe through the lcd display! Lcd cracked and generally not working anymore

I'd suggest ringing HP and asking them...

Once upon a time someone else had connected the power supply to my laptop for me and they left the cable right in the middle of the floor... and it was 3 am...
As you can guess there was some tripping over and permanent destruction of a screen.

The IBM people (it was an IBM laptop) told me that the model was being phased out and a new screen would cost several thousand dollars. Instead we decided to use it as a desktop machine, and have connected an external monitor to it.

You should try to be a little more patient
Try Ebay, they sometimes have them on there, but they are expensive.
