    Welcome to TSG:
    Probably need to know:
    Who is your ISP(cable/dsl)
    Describe your network(Router/modem,etc)
    Did this ever work?
If so,when did it stop working
    Are you using encryption?
What firewalls do you have active?

Does email work? What browser are you using and did you try another? Are you connecting through wireless or added adapter? Did it work before?

    Thanks for the reply
    The ISP is Airtel Broadband
Firewall is windows firewall ( tried turning it off also )
the cable terminates on a 24 port unmanaged switch and routed to various i/o 's
It was always working . Suddenly one day while shutting down I got a message that skype is unable to initialize since the windows station is shutting down. After this only skype calls are working and other sites Im unable to connect .
My desktop which is connected to the same I/o and having same ip address works fine .
When I connect my laptop I have trouble connecting to the net.
Email also is not working ( on the laptop). My web browser is IE
Im not sure about the encryption . can you elaborate pl
    Thanks in advance.
