    Hi Guys,

I'm new here, but I do alot of searches here when I have a problem.
I'm sorry if I'm not clear enough in my post. Please let me know if there's any more details you might need.

But this...I couldn't find in the forums.

I have a client's HP Pavilion Laptop sitting in my office right now.

He had a problem with the dc power jack in the back of the laptop.

So I opened it up, and I noticed that the (I don't know what you call it) the metal contacts that are supposed to
come in contact with the power supply's plug. (I know this is confusing, let me know if you need help). Were loose.
    So I fixed it.

Then when I put the whole laptop together. I press the power button, and it doesn't come on. But it has these other buttons.
You know the kind that usually comes with these laptops (Mail Button, Internet Button, Wireless Button) regular. So I pressed one of those and it turns on.

So I'm thinking maybe the power button is not being pressed correctly. So I take off the top part that exposes the power button, and I press it. Nothing Happens.

    What can I do?

    Thanks.

Laptops are well known to have a weak point there.
