Laptop power supply question. Would 3.25 vs 2.25 amps harm

Laptop pwr supply: would 3.25 amp output instead of 2.25 harm computer?

No, devices only draw as much current as they need. Too low is bad, but more is okay. Voltage and polarity do have to match though.

There's also universal power adapters available that work on most laptops.

You should be able to find a power adapter on Ebay. What make and model laptop is it ?

Be careful buying a universal with a voltage switch, I knew a Lady that had a device that needed 16 volts and she accidentally bumped it to 19 volts an burnt it up.
