My laptop was working fine and suddenly it switched off. When i connect my adaptor to laptop, the light at the adaptor goes off. I came to know that its reverse current issue. So what may be the overall cost for repairing it?

Does it work if just on battery without adapter connected
It is either a faulty power adapter or a fault on the power unit on the board in side the laptop
If you can borrow from a friend, neighbour or colleague a suitable power adapter try that
If you cannot borrow one take the laptop to a local computer repair business and ask them to try with another adapter
If it works you know the fault is your mains adapter.
Whether you buy from them or somewhere else is of course your choice, but for just a few £/$ for them to try one, it will save you the possible cost of buying one for it not to work.
