Laptop runs slow

    Laptop runs slow when plugged in, but fine on battery power

    So you can charge your battery ok, or does the charge last less and less ?

    Thanks for the reply. The laptop battery used to last about 3 hours now it is down to less than 2hrs.

    It sounds to me as if your charger adapter needs replacing.

    If you do replace it, best change it for the one made for the machine,tempting as it is to get a cheaper one that seems to be the exact requirement, they can damage your machine.

    If you can, wait around for a while here as see if more experienced TG's have anything to add.

    I purchsed a new charging cord and low and behold my problems have been resolved. Hard to believe. Our loccal tech guys didn't think that a new cord would fix the problem, but it did . Thanks . Ernie
