I opened up my laptop a little bit to repair an opening that was happening near one of the hinges and than after I put everything back together the laptop started having a very difficult time connecting to the internet, whereas no other device is having any trouble. My computer is running Windows 10 and is a Dell laptop. I am posting this from another computer since the laptop is extremely slow. I have already tried all basic things like restarting the devices and resetting the WiFi on my laptop.

Most WiFi antenna's are in the lid, you may have weakened the wiring when you were messing around.

Check your wireless icon, does it show weak signal on all wireless connections?

As to checking it / fixing it, you will have to go back into the machine. What is the serial/service tag of the machine? If you don't see it on the bottom of the machine, go into Command Prompt and type wmic bios get serialnumber and it should provide you with the tag.
