    Hi all.

My friend sent me a message about his laptop. He formatted it last night because it was running very slow, but the problem continues.

What sort of things should he look at to fix his issue?

    Thank you in advance.

    Bump.

I'm sorry can't supply much more info than that, my friend hasn't let me know any specific details.

Biggest issue is generally too much in startup or insufficient ram as long as reformat has ruled out spyware and virus.

Probably it could be a RAM issue...

I think I'll talk to him about it tomorrow. Hopefully I can get some more info out of him.

Or a failing hard drive or overheating causing the CPU to step down in performance to lower the temp.

I haven't been able to get in contact with the guy. I'll leave it open for the time being. Hopefully I hear about something soon.
