    Windous Boot Ma nager

Windous failed to start. A recent harduare or sof tuare change might be the
    cause. To fix the problem:

    1. Insert your Windous installat ion disc and restart your computer.
    2. Choose your language sett ings, and then click "Next."
    3. Click Repair your computer.

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer
    manuf acturer for assistance.

Windows 7 needs the computer to boot from a Windows 7 System Installation Disc so that it can attempt to repair some damage to the Windows 7 installed on your hard drive.

Yes, you could use a new Windows 7 disc (of the same version) to do the repair.

Is there a Windows sticker on the bottom of the laptop? Under the battery maybe?

What is the make and complete model number of the laptop?
