Hello, I recently installed an SSD (removed the hard drive) on my laptop and since then I've been hearing a constant noise. I will post a YouTube link to a video where you can hear the noise. If anyone knows how I can fix it please help.

    Extra information:
The sound is louder when opening any program like google chrome for example.
The sound gets louder when I scroll through any program.
When launching a game, the graphic card engages and the sound stops.

Thank you very much in advance.

More information is always good, what make and model is your laptop and what type of SSD did you install?

    Hi Fernando94

Strange noises always freak us out whenever we hear it from our PCs but I'm guessing it is not your SSD as it is has no moving parts. It is probably something else like a fan maybe a wire is in the way, things happened when you open up the laptops or PCs and start to fiddle. I would open up the laptop and just have a look

It is an Asus X456UB and the SSD I Installed is a Samsung 850 Evo.

Thank you for the reply, I´ll open it up when I have some spare time!
