My laptop crashed the other day, i tried restarting it and all I got a screen with a floppy disk on it and a some stuff saying F1 all the way through F12. The only thing I could do was press F1, and it took me to another screen, but couldnt do anything after that. I tried to reinstall but now its not recognizing my hard drive. I am running XP, I dont know what to do now, any help appreciated.

    Welcome to the forums

It may be that you have a crashed hard drive. Laptop hard drives dont last as long as desktops probably due to the constant on and off they go thru. You may need to get a new one unfortunately...doc
