when I turn on my laptop, I have a few error messages, but then it says VMM32>VDX is required to run windows. If this file is not in your PATH you may need to reinstall windows. Then all I have is a C prompt. Is there any way to fix this w/out losing all my information. Is it possiable to copy files to the A drive?
    Thanks for any help

when I follow the instructions on that page, I get to windows\system, but the file dibeng.dll is not found. If I reinstall windows 98 will it wipe out my files?
    Thanks

    Hi shawnb:
Why not try the rest of the instructions. If you can't
find the file, then just go ahead and extract and place
    the file as instructed.
In answer to your question. Yes you can reinstall
windows and its not suppose to overwrite files, but
there's always a chance with computers screwing
up. If it was me, I'd try the file first. If that doesn't work
then post back. BrianF has a large bag of tricks.
