    who's making the most reliable laptop these days in the between 1.6 and 2.0 gig and 12"-15" display.
    tired of messing with sony and trying to find a lcd display that is reasonable.
    i'm going to sell the bottom half of this vaio pcg-grt25.
    just want to get something that will last a while and is reasonable

    Um, Dell, or compaq is good, IBM,

    this company sells at least 1.4ghz and up starting at like 700 bucks

    IBM doesn't make laptops anymore - the new ThinkPads are made by Lenovo. They are grossly overpriced pieces of trash. Sony laptops are overpriced, but not junky. Toshiba is probably the best brand available. Dell and Compaq/HP are decent. Do your best to avoid Lenovo, Gateway/eMachines, and Averatec.

    When you say "between 1.6 and 2.0 gig and 12-15," that covers almost every laptop available right now...
