Hello all,
Recently I had a hard drive failure on my laptop and backed up the data to my WD mybook external drive before it went off for repair.
When starting up my machine windows performed an action that changed the folder (title laptop backup) from a folder containing 250GB into a small text file with the extension .file that was only 32Kb in size.
When I check the volume details for the drive it still lists the 250GB as being there but the only remnants of the backup is the 32Kb file that seems to cap off all of the data and render it inaccessable.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to either revert this file back to a folder OR access the data once more.
Any help is much appreciated.
regards
chris
