Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.9
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 64 bit, Build 19041, Installed 20200729124811.000000+060
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 94 Stepping 3, CPU Count: 4
Total Physical RAM: 4 GB
Graphics Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 530, 1024 MB
Hard Drives: C: 930 GB (853 GB Free); F: 31 GB (31 GB Free);
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z170-P, ver Rev X.0x, s/n 160778395309055
System: American Megatrends Inc., ver ALASKA - 1072009, s/n System Serial Number
Antivirus: Windows Defender, Enabled and Updated

I have a problem with startup. After the initial picture a click brings up the PIN page. Although putting in my password will open up the machine, it doesn't recognise the letters. This may sound trivial, but if it is not corrected, I feel it may change things again, and may not allow me to enter.

If I remember, the PIN is just numbers, no letters, unless you are using a password, not PIN?

Oh! I see I can dispense with the letters and just use the numbers. Will this remain to get into win10?

as long as you are using a numeric PIN, you should be fine. I did read it can be letters and numbers, but typically it's a 4 digit numerical PIN.
