I have received a 17" Flat Screen LCD Monitor, how to clean it, handle it, does it need special care?

Keep your LCD monitor clean with these steps:

1 Turn off the computer and display
2 Use water only to dampen a lint-free cloth. Do not spray liquid directly on the screen
    3 Wipe the screen

You may also use a mild glass cleaner that contains no alcohol or ammonia, available at most office supply stores

There exist special cleaners for LCD screens, which takes all the risk out of product selection.

Do NOT use any sort of paper towel to clean the screen, only soft cloths. Paper will scratch the screen, hard as that is to believe. :)

Stay clear of any "cleaners" not formulated to clean LCD screens..Go to your local or online Bestbuy and order some..It's cheap and worry free..

I never clean my monitor. My big, fat, long haired cat walks in front of my screen 'bout 10 times a day so it's never dirty! :p

    Hello Lyte

    Great idea!
I must borrow my son's cat to do the same for me.
