G'day Blade2, can you try another PCI or simple type video card and coax the thing to give some kind of display, the problem you describe happens from time to time and can be a real nuisance to overcome.
So once you can get the monitor to give a decent display try disabling any onboard video if it has it and set your bios to PCI first at a low x rate.
Obtain a video driver remover if you can for the previous card fitted and remove that driver.
When you are sure the system operates perfectly with another kind of simple video card and if you are sure the winfast card is working properly then you can give it another try.
It is very possible your machine power supply is not capable of supplying enough power for the more complex card to allow it to run.
Cheers, qldit.
Obviously your machine doesn't like that card, but it sometimes takes a bit of fiddling to get them to work.
Don't keep plugging the thing in and out, especially if the power lead is in the back of the machine and turned on at the socket.
If you can manage to get the thing to display you can start anew.

Well it looks like you have found one of those incompatibilites that happen from time to time, I would tend to stop while you are in front with what you have.
It will be interesting to see what others might suggest.
Cheers, qldit.
