Hey all. Im just lookin for some good websites or books to teach me the ins and outs of the operating system. You know, how to do cool stuff, and what files do what. Pretty much, I wanna learn as much advanced computer things as I can. You know, that way I can impress my friends, and also help to fix all their problems. Thanks (I know this is kinda general, sorry!)

    Hiya

Well, apart from hanging around here :p here is a site that has online tutorials. I just clicked on one in the Windows 9x and its in form of a WMP, so that you can actually 'see' whats happening.

Experience is #1. You have to get in there and break things (on your own PC) and learn how to fix them. Get a part time job at a local PC manufacturer to learn hardware and OS things. Never get a job at Best Buy, etc as you will only get a bunch of people that know as much as you or less teaching you things.
