Theres no thing as a stupid question.

Apperantley there is. I asked two back up questions from two different versions of windows but somehow they are the same so one got closed out. No they are not. Windows 7 isnt close to wwindows 8.1 and I'm looking for user ways around backing up Not the use of some program. There was no need to close down my thread.

Two, I got a letter saying that my bio which I doubt anybody checks was mostly deleted because its not family friendly. I go to check it. The whole thing was wiped. Even parts that nothing to do with with the offensive parts. which by the way was done mostly in humor. If that wasnt enough they changed my inoffensive username to something totally different. dont know why they just couldnt edit my profile the same way. I suppose being different and having one's own uniqueness is a threat to a tech guy. Theres a differences between family friendly and censorship. Whereas in the tech universe one strives to be different. Get a sense of humor.

The posting of two (2) thread about Backup programs is double posting as most all backup programs will work with both OS's.
Since you are not aware of this then you must be fairly new to computers.

As for your user name I have no idea of what is was before, am not sure that I want to meet all 3 of you.

I do not normally visit any of the BIO's, but adult humor at any user location on this site is accessible by all users, and as stated this is a Family Friendly site. If you have read the Rules of the site, you would have see that this is a Family Friendly site and you had agreed to comply with the rules. That is NOT censorship, but just following within the rules of the site.

Not entirely new. But yes to backup OS. The entirety of my backup method isnt entirely program orientated. If program is the only way to go someone couldve explained that to me. Instead of neglectful actions taken.

A username should be entirely one's preference as it is one own usersname not the public. I contest that my username isnt entirely offensive if given a public vote. It could only be taken as such if you have a dirty mind but then again anything could be taken as such, coming to questions whats on the mind of the three voted judges.

It is censorship because many things of my bio was completely acceptable but it was completely wiped. Without given a real explaination or chance to edit. One is entitled to freedom of expression without offending anyone and when one is completely silenced this is a basic rule of censorship. I wont be surprised if mod's violate more rules in other sections including their own little booklet.

For a member that's been here only a week with 15 posts and two of them are complaints. perhaps you're just too sensitive.

I saw no disrespect in your closed thread.
The moderator posted a simple and accurate reason to close that duplicate.
    Perhaps you didn't understand?

There are good people here that help, think twice before you walk yourself out.
    It only hurts you.

This is simply inaccurate. There are limits to everything, one of which is the general perceived acceptability of user names and things listed on people's profiles. The staff here at Techguy (and pretty much every other discussion board/ Social Media group I am involved with) are within their rights/discretion to review/remove/ edit and they see fit.

You are welcome to your opinion. If you see any moderator whose profile content does not meet PG-13 standards, feel free to report it, and we will look into it.

We would like to see you continue and be a participating member here. However, there are rules and general expectations for all to at least respect and abide by those rules.

Well here's some more "censorship" for you. Your rude comments directed towards another member have been removed. Rudeness and personal attacks are also not tolerated here.

In fact, this forum is not for complaining about a Moderator or Administrator's actions. The proper avenue for that is to contact another Moderator or an Administrator to discuss the matter further.

So on that note I'm closing this thread.
