    Hey!

I'm really hoping that someone might be able to help me out with this...

My 32 inch LG LCD TV has just ran our of warranty and just decided to break. LG want an astronomical fee to repair it so I'm hoping that someone here has the expertise to help me fix it myself...

Image 3 (attached) shows the issue with the TV - the right hand side of the screen, directly down the middle, has become very grey and dark when watching anything on the set. It gets a little bit better once it's been on for half hour or so but it's pretty much un-watchable.

I have taken the back off and fiddled with some of the connections etc but I have no idea what I'm looking for really and nothing I have done has had any impact at all.

The other two images attached show the boards so you have an idea what I'm looking at.

The model of TV is: LG32LD450

Any help or advice on this at all would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Jamie

    An addition to the post...

Having browsed other forums etc, does anybody have any idea of what a shift register is and how it might relate to this issue and if so how to repair them?

    Thanks
