This forum helped me before. Hoping you can help me again.

First, thank you in advance for any comments you may offer.

I have an LG W1952 TQT monitor. It's worked like a charm for the past three years. It was manufactured in 2008.

Now, it's shutting off by itself. Found that if I disconnected the power cable (on the monitor), waited 30 seconds, plugged it back in, it would start working again.

That solved the problem for about a month.

Now when I try that fix it will come on for only 5 seconds and then shut off again.

Checked all the cables - no change.

Put in a different monitor using the same cables (that I used with the LG) and it works fine.

    Here's the clincher...

The LG monitor is now sitting my desk, not connected to anything. I plugged it in to AC (not connected to any device) and it works. Go figure.

Everything else works fine on the PC.

    Any suggestions?
