My desktop is fitted with a Belkin 54G PCI card which I have never had problems with before. My desktop is in the basement and due to poor signal issues another router has been set up in the basement. I had to constantly repair the connection to the previous wireless network but even though the signal is much stonger with the new router and network I am having even more issues with not only having a repair the local only connection issues but also with 'limited connectivity' and the only way to resolve it is to restart my computer.

Is there anything I can do to resolve my wireless connection issues?

Do you have any other 2.4 GHz devices, such as a cordless phone or baby monitor?

Please attach a screen shot of the Networks page of the Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector.

Also show for a connection and for when it has been lost ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

You could try channels 1, 2 and 3 to see if any of those work better (less interference from other networks). But, if that cordless phone is 2.4 GHz that is probably the source of your problems. To test unplug the base unit and remove the battery from the handset(s).
