I have a custom built pc running 32-bit windows 7 professional. I have an issue where after a period of time from starting up my computer, with the time being variable, i will lose connection to the internet and it says that my connection has "Limited Connectivity" and I have local access only, but no internet. This is through my wired connection. I am using a D-Link DFE-530TX+ PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter as my Ethernet card. The curios thing is this problem also occurred when I had 32-bit vista ultimate as well. I have replaced the physical card twice, I have changed the power options, tried using ipconfig release/renew, I have searched high and low and have yet to find a solution. Had this same issue now for years.

The problem is also not the router, for I have the most recent firmware and all settings are correct and have replaced the router three times even though my laptop has never had an issue connecting.

That is a thread where he is having the same issue, but on windows xp and he gives another good and accurate account of my problem and like him, I tried the solutions offered on that thread to no avail.
