    Hello,
I live in an apartment with 3 other people. They can all connect to the internet wirelessly without a problem. If I connect with the Ethernet cable I do not have any issues. When I try to connect wirelessly it is inconsistent. Sometimes I can’t connect at all, sometimes I can connect to the router but it will say I have “No Internet access” and other times (like this one) I can connect but it says I have “Limited Connectivity”. I went home last week and could connect to my home’s router and internet without any issues and the connection won’t drop at all. I have to constantly disconnect from my router and reconnect for it to work (which is half the time). And when it finally does work, it won’t stay connected for long. I called my ISP and they took control of my laptop, changed settings to try to fix it, but it didn’t work. I’ve tried a lot of different things that I can’t really remember but nothing has helped.

    I have a Lenovo G500s
    I'm on Windows 8.1

Install or reinstall the latest wireless driver from Lenovo's web site.

If that doesn't help then try the driver directly from Intel's web site.

Updating the drive straight off of Intel page helped a little bit but there are still some connectivity issues. Now, when I click on the wifi bar, under my router name it will just say "Limited" occasionally. When I play League of Legends there is usually no lag but there will suddenly be a spike in ping and lag and once it hits, it doesn't go away. I still randomly disconnect from my router but when I disconnect and reconnect it works fine for a little bit until it disconnects again.

If Intel PROSet in managing wireless connections switch it to Windows manager.
Open Intel PROSet software and click on “Advance” in the menu bar. Then select “Use Windows to Manage Wifi”

Next press the Windows flag key + R and in the open field type: devmgmt.msc (press enter)
Double click on the Network Adapters → right click on the wireless adapter → select Properties → click on Advanced tab → locate Roaming Aggressiveness and set the Value to minimum/lowest. If you still experience the problem try switching the value to Medium.

Is it possible that your roommates are utilizing 5 GHz band (dual-band)?
