Hi guys, im trying to help my brother out with his computer. It used to be our family computer and when my dad gave it to my brother he deleted all users except my brother. Unfortunately my brother is a limited user and is unable to many things on the computer. Is there like a default administrator password? He is using windows XP home.
When I restart the computer it has a log in screen where you type in a username and password, not the traditional windows xp login screen. Anyone have any ideas? Or do I just have to reinstall the OS?

oh ok... well does anyone know if there is away to restore previous users or if there is a way to preform a system restore even though its a limited user?
not sure if this violates the rules... sorry if it does.
I don't know if system restore needs an administrative account or not, but it probably does. If your dad is an advanced enough user, ask him if he can access the default admin account to change your brother's account to an admin account(or make an admin account). For security reasons I can't really tell you how to do it. If a mod says I can help you due to the odd lack of a user admin account, I will.
