I have a problem with the links on a web page (http://www.phoenixmoonjewellery.com/bracelets.html) none of the links in the top work and in the satus bar there is an # added to the end of the link which isn't in the html I wrote. I've checked my file and view source code from the webpage and it isn't in the text so why is it being added?

This is the link bars code
----------------------------------------------------------
<div id="text1" style="position:absolute; overflow:hidden; left:39px; top:130px; width:516px; height:20px; z-index:2; border:#000000 3px solid; background-color:#000000">
<a href="#"><div class="wpmd">
<div><font face="Tahoma"><B><a href="http://www.phoenixmoonjewellery.com/">Home</a></B></font><font color="#CC99FF" face="Tahoma"><B>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; |&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </B></font><font face="Tahoma"><B><a href="http://www.phoenixmoonjewellery.com/bracelets.html">Bracelets</a></B></font><font color="#CC99FF" face="Tahoma"><B>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; |&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </B></font><font face="Tahoma"><B><a href="http://www.phoenixmoonjewellery.com/necklaces.html"> Necklaces</a></B></font><font face="Tahoma"><B><a href="http://www.phoenixmoonjewellery.com/necklaces.html"> </a></B></font><font color="#CC99FF" face="Tahoma"><B>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; |&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </B></font><font face="Tahoma"><B><a href="http://www.phoenixmoonjewellery.com/earrings.hml"> Earrings</a></B></font><font color="#CC99FF" face="Tahoma"><B>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; |&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </B></font><font face="Tahoma"><B><a href="http://www.phoenixmoonjewellery.com/gay/bi.html"> Gay/Bi Pride</a></B></font><font color="#CC99FF" face="Tahoma"><B>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </B></font></div>
</div>
</a></div>
-----------------------------------------------------

the # is being but in after the .hmtl in each link. Any help much appreaciated

This does not fix your problem, but when I was overgoing it I saw you used the <font> tag in many places. Since I see you know CSS it is important to use that instead because the <font> tag is being taken out in XHTML.

See bold item above... What's the <a href="#"> doing there? Removing it should solve the # issue.
