Whenever I receive an email with a link it doesn't work. I can click on it all day and nothing happens. I'm using MS Outlook w/ WinME. I've also switched to OE and the same thing happens. This is for every email I receive and I receive a lot. Thanks!!

    Hi and welcome to TSG,

To resolve this problem in Internet Explorer, try this:

    1. Quit all programs that are running.
    2. Click Start, and then click Run.
    3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
    4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.

If this does not resolve the problem, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of the following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with each of the file names below):
    • Shdocvw.dll
    • Msjava.dll
    • Actxprxy.dll
    • Oleaut32.dll
    • Mshtml.dll
    • Browseui.dll
    • Shell32.dll (Windows XP and Windows 2000 only)

it should work with cookiegal instructions.. if it didn't, try this..
in Outlook ... Tools > Options > Mail Format .. remove the tick from "Use Microsoft Word to read Rich Text e-mail messages".. this should solve it also ..

There have been several instances where the previous tip using regsrv32 does not solve the problem with hyperlinks not working.
    In this case try:

    Open Internet Explorer
Go to Tools / Internet Options
    Click on the Programs tab
Click on the Reset Web Settings button

    Bob -

I just wanted to thank you. I have been researching this problem like crazy. You were the first to have the answer to the inability to hyperlink from email.

The questions remains, why did the problem develop and what defaults were restored to correct the problem. It's academic at this point but interesting anyway.
