I have a linksys router with the 4 hardwire ports and wirless, ever since I got the router I can't DCC anyone on IRC, I get a message that says "No firewall address Connection failed." How do I fix this? Also when I want to direct Connect to people on AIM sometimes I can and sometimes I can't, what is going on?

If you configure your router to make your PC a DMZ host, does the problem go away?

If it does, then it is the router's firewall blocking what you want to do. I wouldn't recommend leaving it DMZ configured. Rather find out what ports need to be open and configure accordingly. Safer that way.

Understand that I am new at the routing game, but am fairly sure your router's firewall is blocking you.
