    Greetings,

I have Windows 2000SE. I recently installed a Linksys WMP54G (version 4) wireless internet card. Whenever I try to shut down or restart my computer, I get the error message "WMP54Gv4: The application failed to initialize because the window station is shutting down", and the message just keeps repeating, without ever letting the computer shut down. Any ideas of help would be greatly appreciated.

    Best,

    Ryan G

Thanks for the advice... Tried it. All of my drivers are up to date. Any other ideas?

Visit the linksys website (if you have internet access from you machine or another one) and select chat from the support menu. Once you have a live tech, describe your problem. They will describe how to fix that problem.

I had the same message ... I just don't remember how they told me to fix it. :)
