I have recently installed Windows XP on my laptop, Now I cannot get any internet connection from my wireless Linksys(BEFW11S4) router.
I CAN get connection on my other computers that are connected thru the router, but not the wireless laptop Linksys card(WPC11)

Configuration Utility IS working and it says I have a good signal. Why won't it pull up a web page? I know I'm getting a good signal, so the problem is somewhere in the laptops config.
I've tried almost every LAN connection config I can think of.

Is there something I have overlooked? or not installed?
I'm new to XP so be gentile.

What is the error if any? Sounds like IE doesn't know where to look for an internet connection. Try pinging some web sites from the DOS prompt. I am a gentile so how can I be otherwise.....not Jewish...LOL

i have the linksys router and setup as you. You should try and uninstall and reinstall the driver and utility cd. Also when you install from the cd that came with the wireless card, first install it the utility, then turn off your laptop and connect the wireless card in and turn it on so windows can find new hardware and install the driver automatically.

If this doesnt work, then maybe you do not have a valid ip adress to your laptop, but try this first.;)
