I'm in the midst of writing an FAQ about linux, which hopefully one day will be posted here(Perhaps even sticky'd). Its purpose will be to answer many of the simplest questions that people have, and are afraid to ask. I have a small list of things to adress, however, does anyone here have some suggestions?

    hmm well the stadard:

    What is Linux?
    Why should I care?
Why should i think about using Linux?
Is it as hard to install as I've been led to believe?
Which distribution is right for me?
    A) Distros to start out with
    B) More advanced Distros once you outgrow your first one
What is this Dependency hell, that whiteskin and tsunam talk about ^.^; ?
Can I do websurfing on the internet with IE (you know someone will ask)?
Is there something like Outlook for linux?
Do I have to worry about Virus's in linux?
Is there spyware concerns in Linux?
Why should i not be logged into Root all the time?
Can I do word processing that i can also work on a windows machine with?
Games? Linux has games? Can they play windows games?
    hmm i think that'll be a start.

/me vollenteers to edit it if you need to have someone look for grammer etc White. Might as well do it completely properly, so its official looking :)

I have a better suggestion brothers: I think it's more useful to make an online colection of HowTo 's based on these numerous FAQ posted on the Internet - and solutions resulted from answering the problems posted in FAQs. Think only at the numerous problems / messages resulted from the kit of RH9, kernel 2.6 aso. Maybe a conjugated effort will be needed, a team ... think about it !

    hmmm interesting Liviu.

I was just thinking of another faq, How and why should i recompile my kernel with new versions? :)

hmm we might need to either a) make a subforum somewhere for this faq purpose or start a email group thing for the purpose of working on it.
