Actually I wouldn't have the surgery if i was more tolerant to the CPAP. The surgery I am having is the Inspire Implant, which stimulates my tongue to keep it forward and not blocking the airway. It's becoming more available via insurance here in the US (they denied me for about 4 years) due to the successes.Good luck with the surgery James. I didn't know there was a surgical solution for sleep apnea. My friend's husband has to sleep with the CPAP machine. I imagine you have to to as well. I would think it would be quite annoying but I guess it beats the alternative.
