Live Online Game

During the live chat this week, a few of us took part in a live online game. It's like a virtual board game. There is no camera or microphone required. You just watch the game live on YouTube and use your phone (or another browser tab) to enter your answers. It was a lot of fun and I think there is some interest in doing it again, but I don't want to do it in place of the live chat. Let me know when you think we ought to try another one. No obligations if you vote, and you're also welcome to watch the live stream for a bit before choosing to take part.

Good luck with the surgery James. I didn't know there was a surgical solution for sleep apnea. My friend's husband has to sleep with the CPAP machine. I imagine you have to to as well. I would think it would be quite annoying but I guess it beats the alternative.

Actually I wouldn't have the surgery if i was more tolerant to the CPAP. The surgery I am having is the Inspire Implant, which stimulates my tongue to keep it forward and not blocking the airway. It's becoming more available via insurance here in the US (they denied me for about 4 years) due to the successes.

Sorry, I didn't see there were any replies. The surgery should be a day surgery unless there were complications. I would have needed to go back the next day for post op, and then after a couple of weeks.

As mentioned in the chat, it was postponed because my sugar levels are high, which supposedly will affect the healing. Fate once again prevents me to get the surgery. I was also meant to be getting a septoplasty to fix my deviated septum too at the same time.

I am going to see a specialist tomorrow morning to see what I can do to lower it down as quick as possible so i can get the surgery. I will be online in time for the festivities. :)

welp... there is nothing more scary than a doctor just hitting with hard truths and not going around things...

I have a great deal of stuff to fix before I can do the surgery and getting that A1C down is the paramount key here... oh and apparently I had a heart attack... who knew? I didn't...

It's kinda sad to think that after racing, these games have become one of the highlights of my week ... <sigh>
And I'm the guy that comes in last most of the time! ;-)
