Thanks ahead of time

Unchecking it should disable its startup entry so that it will not run after a reboot.

MSN Messenger will not allow you to delete or rename the file itself, but you can delete its startup entry.

I'm assuming the LoadQM entry is now UNchecked in Msconfig/Startup.

Go to Start >Run > regedit.

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run-

Note the - (minus) sign behind Run.

Highlight the LoadQM string value in the RIGHT pane, and choose 'delete'.

BTW, if LoadQM is checked in Msconfig, you'll find it's entry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Cheers,

Just for your information, LoadQM will reinstall itself in MSCONFIG and the registry e-v-e-r-y time you install a new upgrade to MSN Messenger or reinstall it.:(
