loading problem

    when I put my cd or dvds in to load it used to pop up a thing on the screen and ask me what I wanted to do with them but now all it does is flicker in my downloads and I have to find it to load it. I have windows 10 I used to have windows 8.1 when I changed that's when it changed Thanks.

    What was it set at, what have you now set it at
    if you then click on icon in notifications area when you insert a dvd what occurs please
    what is the manner of dvd that goes to downloads

    It was set in auto play but done what it said in the link you said but it did nothing there is no icon when I put the dvd in it just flickers in the downloads icon goes in something called the OS ( C: ) I hope that's what you wanted to know Thanks

    3. Could you explain this further
    What please do you mean by the part in bold

    4. Try turning off autoplay
    as per the link I sent, reboot the computer and then turn it back on, reboot again and then insert a dvd

    I have never encountered such behaviour
    I have heard often of autoplay not working especially on 10
    However when autoplay does not work and it is turned off - then inserting a disc be it dvd or cd and generally whatever file type is on the disc, one as I am sure you know simply = right clicks on the disc drive and click whatever is then appropriate to that disc

    As I said I have never heard of a disc appearing in the downloads folder
    Sorry I have no further suggestion to offer

    I know me either it used to work the other way till I went to windows 10 its weird but Thanks for all your help. As long as it loads I can deal with it just takes longer
