loading windows (boot disk)

    can someone please help me load win 2000 back on the computer. Its a dell and they say that they can not help me. I know you guys are good. Thanks

    Hi and welcome. Did you try restarting the computer with the Restore CD in the drive?

    Set bios to boot from cdrom first. I think on Dell, it's F 1 when the computer starts to access bios.

    i got it to read the a drive but i am not sure how to make it read the d drive...

    How are you getting it to read the a: drive? With a boot floppy?

    To get it to read the cdrom first, you need to access the bios setup as I've described above and change the boot order.
