RegSeeker has found 311 probs in the registry. Should I allow it to sort them or will this be damaging? Mostly 'path does not exist', 'obsolete entry' (in green); 'invalid application path'; 'invalid activex entry' (in red).

Never heard of RegSeeker before, but if that's the sort of thing it's flagging up then there shouldn't be any problems. If you are worrried though, it may be worth exporting the appropriate registry entries as a backup, just in case it all goes balls up.

    Have fun.

I would use System Restore and create a restore point before deleting 311 entries from the registry.
