Local area connection Properties blank

    This is a good one!
    Local area connection Properties are completely blank. No TCPIP, no Microsoft client, nothing. Can't add anything because it returns an error:
    "Could not add the requested componet. The error is: The system connot find the file specified."

    Cannot uninstall NIC. Returns error unable to uninstall
    Cannot install a second NIC
    Cannot install undated drivers
    Cannot install any new windows networking services
