I just recently did some experimenting and was able to partition a USB drive using Free Paragon Hard Drive Manager 8.0 Special Edition (Install and make recovery CD for offline partitioning.). It may allow you to remove the entire partition, make a new one, and format.

Great. Glad to hear someone else got some use out of it. Did you also get the free registration?

Don't forget to make the bootable CD so you can partition in the future outside of Windows or other OS.

Thanks for the software it really helped me in repairing a microsd card that I thought was dead for good....Was giving the please insert disc error...Could not fix the card with a usb card reader but was able to get an old video camera to read the sdcard...hooked up a usb cable to the camera and was able to format the card....When I tried to read the card after the format it only showed as 1g not the full 2g...I used paragon to repartition and format back to 2g...I have my fingers crossed the corruption does not come back

That's great. It seems funny that Paragon, which I don't think even claims any special facility with USB drives, seems to work on them better than Windows Disk Management, or even the software designed specifically for that purpose by HP. But so long as it does, we should just be thankful, I guess. :D
