I recently purchased a Dell Optiplex 755 at an auction. I brought the computer home and cannot log in, or get past the username/password section. Is there someone who can tell me how to get past this? I am not concerned about what's in there, I just want to be able to use the compuer. It was part of an auction from a company that taught IT.

You need to do a clean reinstall of Windows to wipe out the previous owner's "debris" and get a fresh start with it.

What's the complete version of Windows that's on the Microsoft COA sticker that has the 25-character product key?

Is that Dell OptiPlex 755 the mini tower, desktop, small form factor, or ultra small form factor model?

I personally own 2 of the mini tower models that I bought refurbished at www.newegg.com with Windows 7.

Once you get it up and running, you should be happy with it.

I've also closed your other thread. Please do not start more than one thread for the same question.

Since we can't help with getting around the password, I'm closing this thread.
