Ok, I gots a problem for ya. I got a free mobo and K6-2 from my uncle. So we make a PC out of it, using a TNT1 and a Sound Blaster 16. Once we formatted the disks and installed win98se, it would start locking up randomly. It just stops what its doing, no warning. If you need more info to help me please reply, I really need to get this fixed.

I would suspect cooling, those chips run hot, is your fan/heatsink in good working order, installed correctly????

The other thing that comes to mind is a bad memory stick, you could try removing all but one if you have more than one and see if the lockups stop, if not, try a different one.
