:( The only sound I can hear with my Logitech Premium USB Headset 300 is the sound of myself blowing or rubbing on the mic. What am I doing wrong that I can't hear the music that is playing on my hard drive. I can hear the music through my speakers but not through my headset.

Did you install the software that came with the set? If so did you follow the instructions to the letter? If so did you enable the USB sound input?

I believe that your USB headset acts like a sound card. You need to go into your control panel/ sounds and multimedia/ click the audio tab, and set the USB headset as the preferred playback device.. If you want to output the sound out of both your speakers and headset at the same time, try useing the Audio repeater function of Virtual Audio Cable. http://spider.nrcde.ru/music/software/eng/vac.html

Otherwise, just use the control panel to choos between speakers and headset.

:) Ahhh at last I can hear my music through my headset. Could Ad Aware or SpyBot Search and Destroy possibly block something that the computer and headset needed to communicate with each other? Last night I opened both programs and reversed all changes they had made. Then I did disk cleanup and defrag. This morning I opened control panel and set my audio for the headset for the umteenth time and walla, my headset is working as it should. Seems every time I use Ad Aware or SpyBot I have problems with my computer. Long story short, I do thank you for your help. A pat on the back to you for a quick response and job well done!!!
