Can anyone advise me on a decent network HDD?
I am after a simple solution. A ~250GB HDD attached to my router that I can have a scheduled back-up overnight for my important files.
I use a laptop wirelessly connected to my router, and it would be a lot easier to use network rather than USB.
I have seen the Acronis TrueImage software, but cannot see if it will save to network drives.
Maxtor have many OneTouch products, but all seem to be USB connections. The network ones I have seen do not support sceduled back-ups in their own software.

Any Advice please?

What you want is a NAS box, D-Link make some affordable ones, they even come with a built-in print server. You buy the empty enclosure and add 1 or 2 drives (depending on which model you get), the 2 drive one supports RAID mirroring and striping, they're really easy to set up. Here are some that are available at an online store I use, as an example (bear in mind the prices are in NZ dollars): http://www.ascent.co.nz/Category.aspx?majorcatID=95
