Hello all. I recently upgraded my webserver to handle streaming video. I have FrontPage 2002, and I was wondering if there is a program or way to put streaming RealVideo/Audio into a page with a mini-player.

I put a link to the file on my page, and they have to download it first. However, when I put the address in my realplayer, it buffers and stuff. So I guess that is streaming video, and that's how I want it.

    Thanks A Lot All!

You need a streaming media server application that will stram the file to the client. RealMedia has a server app called Helix Server

My web hosting people told me that I just needed to upload it to their server in .ram or .vid format and it would be streaming video.

I guess the correct word for the program I want is an "embedded" player or something. I have an Add-On in FrontPage that has a WindowsMedia player built in, but my server doesn't support Windows Media.

If not a player like this, is there a way to link to it so that it streams, and does not download it first?

As I said before...I put a link to it on my website. I click that link and it downloads into a tempoary file and then plays. When I type in the address directly into my RealPlayer, it doesn't download. I am trying to get it where modem users can watch without downloading it.

    Thanks A Lot
