I'm looking for a suggestion on software to backup drivers.

I would prefer a stand-alone exe rather than software that needs to be installed.

TIA

Hi Mithrihall,

Here's a list of driver backup software:
* Driver Backup
Driver Backup (Win95/98/Me): http://www.theemiratesnetwork.com/computers/webmaster/prog01.htm
Driver Collector 1.2 (WinNT/2000/XP): http://www.angelfire.com/ex/xxx961/Bassam.zip
ShadowX's Driver Expert Backup: (Shareware): http://www.d-sine.com/SHADOW-X/Shadow-X.html
WindowsDriverBackup(freeware?): http://www.jermar.com/wdrvbck.htm
My Driver (15-day Trial): http://www.zhangduo.com
DriverGuideTookKit: http://www.driverguidetoolkit.com/download.htm ($)
http://forums.techguy.org/t351314&highlight=driver+backup.html (#9)
WindowsDriverBackup(freeware): http://users.adelphia.net/~abraxas/dl/WinDriversBackup_Install.msi

I don't understand what you mean by "stand-alone exe" vs "software that needs to be installed". Do you mean: can be executed from a CD or floppy? If you loose the CD or floppy, you loose the executable, so why not install it? You can always uninstall it!

What I'm trying to do is backup the SCSI and RAID drivers or our servers (30+ servers) without installing software on the servers.

I'll check out the list your provided and see if any of them will allow me to backup drivers of remote computers.

Thanks.

Tom,
Do you have a personal favorite out of the ones you listed?
Hi coachdan32,

As with any software, if it works as advertised - its my favorite, even if one of many!
