Looking for Microsoft Publisher converter or veiwer

I have Publisher 2000 on my computer and have been sent a Publisher file that has been made in a new version of Publisher. I have already asked the person that sent them to me to "save down" the file to the 2000 version. I am just trying to find a converter or viewer for Publisher in case this happens in the future. Anyone know of any???

There is no free viewer (or converter to my knowledge).

Such programs are often sought, but the answer is always the same. MS have no plans to provide one apparently.

Viewers for Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access are available.

You can order a CD for the trial version of Publisher 2003 which, after the 30-day trial runs out, will continue to run but only as a viewer. I guess they don't offer it as a download because it's so huge.

I checked the Microsoft website and it appears that they have converters and veiwers for almost every other Office program except Publisher.
